Europay, MasterCard, Visa (EMV) is a global fraud reduction standard for secure credit and debit payment cards based on chip card technology. EMV-capable bank cards feature an embedded microprocessor chip that contains the cardholder data. The primary benefit of EMV technology is the reduction in card fraud resulting from counterfeit, lost, and stolen cards.
Progress continues to be made as we achieve critical milestones on our EMV roadmap. TrustCommerce is certified for EMV with First Data on Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Other Processor Platform EMV certifications are in progress, ongoing, and on schedule.
