Campus Phone to Campus Phone

• To dial between campus extensions (Seattle, Bothell, or Tacoma Campuses):
  • Dial [5-digit number] (last five (5) digits of telephone number).

• UW Medical Center (UWMC) is served by a different phone system. The last 5-digits of their 598 prefix numbers [8-####], and their 7 digit, 744 prefix numbers [744-####] are provisioned to dial as campus numbers. Do not dial a [9] before these numbers.

• These area codes and prefixes can be dialed between UW campuses and UW Medicine:

Off-Campus Calling (non-UW/UWMC number)

1. Press [9].
2. Dial area code and seven-digit number.

Campus operators are unable to place off-campus calls for callers at restricted telephones.

International number using UWATS:

1. Dial [9]
2. Listen for dial tone.
3. Dial [011].
4. Dial [country code].
5. Dial [city code] (omit 0 if first digit).
6. Dial [local number].
7. Dial [#]. (NOTE: Do not dial # if international number – excluding 011 – is 12 digits).
8. Dial [authorization code].

Call Forwarding

Forwards incoming calls to another telephone number.

To forward calls to another UW campus or UWMC number:

1. Dial [*][7][2]. Wait for dial tone.
2. Dial 5-digit number.
3. Wait for three short tones, followed by dial tone.
4. Hang up.

To forward calls to a non-UW campus telephone number:

1. Dial [9].
2. Dial the number to which you are forwarding.
   • Enter the 10-digit number you wish to forward to.

To cancel Call Forwarding:

1. Dial [*][7][3].

PBX Remote Access Forwarding (RAF)

RAF permits remote activation of the Call Forwarding feature (forwarding a phone number to another number). Contact UW-IT to add the RAF feature to a number. A personal security code and the appropriate system access number will be provided to use the RAF feature.

The Send All Calls (SAC) function overrides Call Forwarding functions so be sure it is not active when forwarding the number.
